Telangana Teacher Recruitment 2024: The Telangana State District Selection Committee (DSC) Notification 2024 was officially released on February 29, 2024, by the Commissioner of School Education, Telangana.

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has recently announced a massive recruitment drive in the education sector, aiming to fill 11,062 positions across various categories.

This recruitment, managed by the District Selection Committee (DSC), covers various positions in the Education department. These roles include School Assistants, Linguists, PETs, SGTs, Special Category School Assistants, and Secondary Grade Teachers (SGTs).

Updates on Previous Notification

In September 2023, during the previous administration, the government announced a notification to fill 5,089 teacher positions via DSC-2023. However, under the Revanth Reddy government on February 26, 2024, approval was granted to fill 4,957 direct recruitment teacher roles.

Additionally, 796 special education teachers for the primary level and 220 for the upper primary level were also sanctioned, bringing the total to 11,062 posts for DSC-2024.

Telangana Teacher Recruitment Eligibility

The eligibility criteria for TS DSC (Teacher Recruitment Test) 2024 are as follows:

Educational Qualification:

Candidates must hold the minimum education qualification required for each post. The specific educational qualifications for each post are detailed below:

• School Assistant: Graduation with a B.Ed from any recognized university.
• Language Pandit: Degree (Telugu / Hindi / Urdu / Kannada / Oriya / Tamil / Sanskrit) with B.Ed from any recognized university/college.
• Physical Education Teacher: Intermediate and a graduate diploma in Physical Education (U.G.D.P.Ed.) recognized by NCTE, or Bachelor’s Degree and a B.P.Ed or M.P.Ed recognized by NCTE.
• Secondary Grade Teachers (SGT): Intermediate with a 2-year D.Ed course or its equivalent certificate recognized by NCTE.

Age Limit:

The age limit for TS DSC (Teacher Recruitment Test) 2024 is as follows:

1. Minimum Age Limit: 18 years
2. Maximum Age Limit: 46 years

Age Relaxation:

However, there are age relaxations provided for certain categories:

• SC/ST/BCs/EWS candidates: 1 year of age relaxation
• PwD Candidates: 10 years of age relaxation

Candidates belonging to the unreserved category must be between 18 and 46 years old to be eligible for TS DSC 2024 recruitment.
