The salary structure for various coaching positions is categorized into deputation and contractual engagements.
For the High-Performance Coach, the deputation level is at Level-13 (Rs. 123,100-215,900), while the contractual pay is fixed at Rs. 220,000/-.
Similarly, the Senior Coach is placed at Level-11 (Rs. 67,700-208,700) for deputation and receives a contractual pay of Rs. 125,000/-.
The Coach position is at Level-10 (Rs. 56,100-177,500) for deputation and Rs. 105,000/- for contractual engagement.

Sports Authority of India Recruitment 2024 Allowances
- Tax Deduction: Before paying, SAI will deduct Income Tax or any other applicable taxes as per the rules. You’ll get a TDS/Service Tax Certificate.
- Allowances: No travel allowance (TA) or dearness allowance (DA) for joining or completing assignments. Other facilities like accommodation, phone, transport, personal staff, medical reimbursement, HRA, and LTC are not provided.
- Extension: Your performance will be regularly reviewed. Extensions will depend on the reviews and organizational needs.
- Leave: You get 2.5 days of leave per completed month, with no carryover to the next year. Unutilized leave in a calendar year lapses. Up to one month of absence may be considered without pay. Exceptions may apply for professional development, training, and maternity leave as per government rules.
- Travel Allowance/ Daily Allowance (TA/DA): For approved domestic tours, TA/DA may be provided based on your equivalent grade in SAI’s Recruitment Rules. Approval from the Competent Authority is needed.
